SOLVING AN EQUATION IN THE FORM OF ax + b = c

THE PROCESS AND GOAL

...You are going to solve an equation in the form of ax + b = c where a, b and c are constants that you will control with the slider bars for a, b and c.
...You will be writing down on your work paper the initial equation based on your slider choices.
...You will mouse click the check box to see if you have performed each step correctly.

THE TOOLS

TOOL 1:
The Slider Bars: sliderbars

...Move the small points on the slider bars left or right to control the values of a, b and c.

TOOL 2:
The Step Check Box: step

...Each time you click your mouse in a Step Check Box the steps will be placed to the left of the check boxes. See below:

The Reset Icon: reset

...If you mouse click this icon the module will get reset to what you originally saw. This makes it easy instead of having to uncheck all the check boxes.
